Winners and an Owl Birthday Freebie!

I'm sorry it took me so long to let you know the winners! Here they are:

Congratulations to Jennifer and Ashley. I will email you soon! :)

I think July moved a little too quickly, what about you? It can slow down now!
It's a rainy day today, which we actually need so I don't mind, so I think I will do a little organizing. Really, it might happen ...

Here is a freebie for you...

They are owl birthday pencil holders. Yes, I'm still on a bit of an owl kick. Click on the pic to grab it! Enjoy!

Now, what to organize, where to start...

Owls, Cheron and Random...

Hi everyone! I wish I could blog more often. I have good intentions, but especially in the summer, it's just hard. I do still think about school, however. I've already seen some back to school sales, but I made myself stay away! (For at least a little longer!)
I've been working on a few things for TPT. There are so many stinkin' cute owls out there, it makes me want to change my classroom theme! I finished this Owl Activity Pack today. Click on the pic to check it out on TPT.

I also made a Chevron theme pack. Click on the pic below if you'd like to take a peek!

In other news, I watched The Men Tell All and I really think Sean might be the next Bachelor, after Roberto of course! I also wonder if a guy like Kalon can be for real?
I wasn't feeling well earlier this week, so I was watching some of our recorded shows, and I came across one that my hubby watches. It's called Impractical Jokers. It has these 4 guy friends and they have to do really embarassing things. It was actually pretty funny. Really immature and ridiculous, but it made me laugh and that's what I needed! (I also needed some Reese's peanut butter cups. I may or may not have eaten half a bag.)

Now here is a freebie for you! I made these little owl treat labels because I'm in love with owls right now! I think they would be perfect for the beginning of the year. Click on the first picture to grab the freebie!

The first one was hole punched with ribbon put through it - that was for you, Jaime. She always makes everything super cute. The second one was more like what I might do, a staple through a bag. :)

My hubby and I were looking for funny movies to buy/rent. What is your favorite funny movie? Write it in a comment below along with your email and I will randomly pick two people to win the Owl and Chevron items from TPT!

Beginning of the Year Resource Book

I was in Barnes & Noble the other day. What was I looking for? Back to school books! I just can't get school off the brain. I am always looking for new ideas! I was thinking that everyone else is as well. So, my friend Jaime thought a little resource book might be a great idea. Here's where I need your help. I would like to compile a list of the best back to school ideas and make a freebie for TPT. It could be an idea for the first day, open house, etc. Your choice!
If you have a (K-2) new or great idea,(or ideas), that you would like to include in the resource book, please e-mail me at andreafirst77@gmail.com
If you leave the link to your store or blog in the email, I will include it with your idea.
Please email me by next Monday, the 16th. Thanks for your help!

If you're looking for a cute back to school treat idea, Jaime and I made these last year and our kiddos loved them! Click on the picture below to go to her blog post.

The weather has been pretty crazy here in MI. Many people, including me, lost power last week because of storms. It's amazing what you take for granted! I'm working on some stuff for TPT and even though I have more time, I keep finding other things to work on. I start on one thing and then start another and another...but have yet to finish much. I'll get there! :)

Summer, Summer Summertime!

Admit it, you were just singing a little DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince, weren't you?

I haven't blogged in forever! It was crazy busy at the end of the school year and this week, I've had plans every day. I have to say, I heart summer.

I'm still getting up pretty early, but it's nice to do it because I want to, not because I have to. I can work out in the morning too, and not at 5:00!
I've also been able to meet my hubby for lunch and try a few new recipes. Love it!!

I had acupuncture yesterday and I'm still feeling totally relaxed. She gives me these ear seeds that stick on my ears for a day or 2. If I'm feeling stressed out and press them, they are supposed to help. I wish I would've had those on the last 2 days of school!

I want to work on some new projects for school this summer, but not yet. I am too busy cleaning and organizing. I'm even thinking about having a yard sale. I've never had one before. Am I crazy? Is it worth it?

I haven't started my first summer book yet, but I'll do that tonight! Christina Bainbridge recommended The Night Circus, and I've had it forever, but haven't gotten to read it yet. Can't wait! Any other recommendations for fun, summer reading? I hope you are enjoying your summer as much as I am!

Learning Spots Review and Giveaway, Weeding and Pigeon

My arms are sore. Did I work out? Lift weights? NO, I weeded the front yard. It looks so much better, but I can't believe how sore I am. Maybe if I do that more often I'll have the arms I've always wanted. It probably won't happen! :)

This week, I'm passing out my last book orders and we're making our summer stacks.

We're also starting our economics unit and using the Pigeon to help!

                                                           Pigeon Needs and Wants!

And now for the giveaway! I don't know if I ever told you, but I <3 my projector. I try not to say too much at school because not everyone has one, but I really love it.
Here is a pic of it:

Isn't it beautiful? I use it every day! :)

Busy, Busy, Busy!

This is the time of year when the time goes by so quickly and we have something planned every weekend! (It seems like every minute of every weekend!)

But that's just the way it is! My school fair was last night. The kids love to see us outside of school so it is a great event. It wipes me out though because it makes for a LONG day!

I didn't get to post any Mother's Day project pics so here is one:

This is what the girls, (and even some boys - running the cash register), have been doing this week during play. I didn't get to get my hair straightened...maybe next week!

I don't know about you, but my kiddos have been super squirrels lately and we do not even do a countdown!!! I don't even talk about the end of the year. Honestly, it stresses me out because there is SO much to do! Here is something I just finished for the end of the school year:

It is on TPT right now! I will write again tomorrow to let you know about a giveaway that I am having, but I have to head out right now. Before I do, however, you have to check out the CUTEST $1 craft on TPT.

It is so stinkin' cute and we're totally making it for Father's Day! (Many of us are still in school until the middle of June!)

Enjoy the rest of your Saturday. I'll be back tomorrow with giveaway details! :)
