An Announcement and Some Freebies!

So I know I've totally been a blogging slacker lately, but I actually have a good reason! And here it is...

We feel so blessed and are finally ready to tell the world! (I've been a little nervous about it - it's been a LONG time coming -and my 2 teaching partners had been sworn to secrecy even though it was TOTALLY obvious quite a few weeks ago!)
I finally told everyone at work yesterday and it was so nice to get so many hugs and well wishes. I actually got to see my little pumpkins on Wednesday and they were very active. It actually looked like they were punching each other. Not already! lol

So I've been totally and completely exhausted and so all I do is lie around in my pj's and either nap or eat. They say you start to get more energy in the 2nd trimester...Maybe the 2nd half of the 2nd trimester?

Now I could've been blogging and making new things for school, but I just haven't had the energy.
By the way, speaking of my teaching partners, I don't know what I would do without them. They have helped me in so many ways already this year. They are the best!!! I can't thank them enough!

I have a few sight word games that I made a while ago that I want to share. It's amazing how just making a game a little different can make such a difference. They can go from being bored with one game to loving another even if it's pretty much the same game!

Croak is a game using the first 25 sight words. The children roll a die and move that number of spaces. If they know it they read it. If they don't, they can ask a friend or the teacher for help. If I'm working with a group, we always arm tap the words they don't know. If they land on Croak!, they croak like a frog and go back to start. They really like this game!

This is a pumpkin sight word game, using the first 25 words, like Crash. It does not have a direction sheet, you just have them put the cards face down, turn over a card, read it or ask for help and read it. If they land on Trick or Treat, they need to put all of their cards back. Just like with Croak!, we arm tap any words that they don't know. The next few freebies are from my friend and teaching partner, Jaime. If you get a chance, check out her TPT store. She has some really cute Halloween and Election products perfect for your little ones!

Happy Friday! I hope your weekend is relaxing!
