Admit it, you were just singing a little DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince, weren't you?
I haven't blogged in forever! It was crazy busy at the end of the school year and this week, I've had plans every day. I have to say, I heart summer.
I'm still getting up pretty early, but it's nice to do it because I want to, not because I have to. I can work out in the morning too, and not at 5:00!
I've also been able to meet my hubby for lunch and try a few new recipes. Love it!!
I had acupuncture yesterday and I'm still feeling totally relaxed. She gives me these ear seeds that stick on my ears for a day or 2. If I'm feeling stressed out and press them, they are supposed to help. I wish I would've had those on the last 2 days of school!
I want to work on some new projects for school this summer, but not yet. I am too busy cleaning and organizing. I'm even thinking about having a yard sale. I've never had one before. Am I crazy? Is it worth it?
I haven't started my first summer book yet, but I'll do that tonight! Christina Bainbridge recommended The Night Circus, and I've had it forever, but haven't gotten to read it yet. Can't wait! Any other recommendations for fun, summer reading? I hope you are enjoying your summer as much as I am!

I've got a stack of books to read on my mountain cabin vacation starting tomorrow. I love summer because I have loads of time to read. I hardly read for fun during the school year.

My stack of books just keeps growing! Go for the yard sale. You might be surprised how much you make and it always feels good to get rid of stuff. We did a 2 day sale a couple of years ago before we moved. We made so much the first day my husband started scavenging the house for anything else we could sell. Haha! Enjoy the summer. If you happen to read any children's books (or have read some really great ones this year), hop on over to my blog and join my linky party. :)

I hear ya sista! "Sit back and unwind!"
ReplyDeleteI too like getting up early! (hence this post at 6:45AM on a Sat.!) I am reading Game of Thrones right now. . . it's long but I love it! I read it on my Kindle when I'm doing my cardio at the gym. I say go for the yard sale! Let us know how it goes!
Enjoy your summer vacay!

Hello,
ReplyDeleteNo, you are not crazy...Or I am crazy too. I have been cleaning, sorting and throwing out things that I don't use/need. I think it's our only time to do some real stuff at home. I am so busy during the school year that it actually feels great to pay attention to my home. I have cleaned out 3 kitchen cabinets, one food cupboard, and today I was in the garden all morning.
