  2. Never heard of the ice cube in the toilet, so you're already one step ahead of where I'd be!!

  3. Tape a white crayon to your window, make sure you put the spoon in the freezer BEFORE putting it under your pillow.

  5. Haha...too cute! I'm crossing my fingers and toes for you. It was 70 today in Maryland. I doubt we will be getting a snow day this winter. GAH!

  7. Potato by the alarm clock!

You have to *think* you WILL have school. Otherwise, it's a bust! I'm crossing my fingers for school tomorrow too! Snow days on Friday are the WORST! Who wants a three day weekend? Not me! So hoping for school!

  10. I am jealous that you can be hopeful for a snow day. Here is Central Kentucky the only thing we are getting is RAIN!!! But on the bright side May 16th is looking really good!!

  11. Thanks, ladies! I am at home in my jammies. We got lucky because it actually didn't snow that much! All of your tips must've done it!

Tamara - teachers (and kids) do a lot of things to get a snow day in Michigan! Ha! Isn't it in the 80s where you are? That would be SO nice right now!

I hope everyone who wanted one here in MI got one! :)

  12. I'm a childhood Michigander (St. Clair Shores) so I know about snow days! I'm writing about your Leap Day unit... I'm a children's singer/songwriter and have a Leap Day song that I always forget about until mid-February every 4 years... couldn't figure out how to contact you directly to send you the audio file, so I put it up on iTunes. A rough-n-ready living room recording, but I thought you and your kids might enjoy it. Put me in the iTunes search box (suzanne niles) and you'll see it as a single.
