Morris Goes to School

I am trying to get back into school mode. Slowly but surely. I don't go back as soon as some of you, but I know I'll be happier if I get some work done!

Have you used this book at the beginning of the school year?

It's an oldie, but a goodie. I've used it with both 1st and 2nd graders and they love it! If you are interested, click below to download some activities to use with the book.

I hope you can use them!
:) Andrea

  1. This is such a cute book! I've had it in my class library for a few years, but didn't read it aloud to the class until this year. The kids loved it. Thanks for the activities!! :)

  3. Love this! We're going to do reading response Fridays this year where we actually do some kind of crafty fun thing to go along with our insightful, deep comprehension activities...They are still just six, you know!

This will be added to the list of books to do! I think the copy I have of this book was mine when I was little!
    Thanks for sharing!

  7. Eek! This is one of my FAVORITE books from when I was a kid. I have my own copy that my grandma gave me back then. I bring it to school every year (but I don't leave it there)! I have yet to meet anyone who uses it during the beginning of the year, so I was super excited to see this post! Thanks!! :)

  9. I read this book every year, don't know who loves it more - me or the kids! I have additional activity sheets in my "Morris" file at school.
